Congress is considering a $1 trillion rescue package designed to provide some relief for Americans grappling with the deepening coronavirus crisis. And, CDC Director Dr. Robert Redfield is facing criticism for the slow pace of testing for the coronavirus in the U.S., a charge that echoes controversy Redfield faced as an infectious disease specialist for the military during the AIDS epidemic of the 1980s.
