Previous Episode: Episode 16: Rosemary
Next Episode: Episode 18: Mistletoe

In today's episode we are exploring nutmeg, a seed with a history similar to that of  cinnamon and cloves. Nutmeg was an important commodity during the Spice Trade of the 16th and 17th Centuries, so much so, that one of its bloodiest incidents occurred over this particular spice.  We will talk about this sad history, as well as the culinary uses of  nutmeg as an ingredient in cuisines from all over the world. I'll also explore the magickal associations of nutmeg, such as luck and prosperity , and its connection to Yule and the winter months.  I  also give you a recipe for homemade Creamy Holiday Eggnog. Join me in discovering the rich and disturbing history of nutmeg.
