In this episode, we’re figuring out how to follow your heart and pursue your passion. Bridget George is an Anishinaabe illustrator, mother and children's book author. Her first children's book "It's a Mitig!" is a dual language book written in her early days of motherhood, born from the desire to hold space for the ojibwe language in mainstream places and to fill representation gaps for anishinaabe children and their families. She is passionate about sparking a love for her language in her son and other families, and is currently working on various projects focusing on amplifying the voices and perspectives of indigenous youth and women. Bridget highlights her process of creating, editing, illustrating and publishing her first children's book. In addition to reconnecting with herself in order to set an example for her son.
