COURSE DESCRIPTION: This is a 10 day course. Mark Twain once said, "I'm an old man, I have had many problems, and most of the never happened." How true this statement is! This course is based on my 30 plus years of experience of practising and teaching meditation and mindfulness. I have observed over these years that the primary problem most people have is that they over-think. Their mind is restless, out of control and just chatters away all day long. This overthinking restless mind is the cause of much anxiety, fear, dread and even some physical ailments. Don't get me wrong, the thinking mind is a wonderfully creative tool - it creates beautiful works of art, creates scientific breakthroughs, creates wonderful architecture and so on, but it also creates something else, it creates suffering. The aim of this course is to show you why you overthink and what to do about it. Each session contains a short talk, a meditation or contemplation and tools and techniques for you to takeaway for every day life. YOUR PODCASTER: Suryacitta is an ordained Buddhist minister and author of five books on meditation, mindfulness and happiness, including the best selling Happiness and How it Happens available from Amazon and good book stores.
