"HOW PAST SEXUAL ABUSE AFFECTS A MARRIAGE!" I - 7/21/24

Pittsburgh FamilyLife Affiliate Staff member, Tim Tucker, interviews Scott and Catherine Mercer, part of our Pittsburgh FamilyLife Team, and Tom and Pam Jones.  Tom is a licensed Christian counselor and associate pastor, and Pam is a real estate agent in the Pittsburgh area.  

They discuss a very critical topic today on how past sexual abuse affects a marriage.   As Dr. Courtney Putnam has said, "The body keeps score of sexual abuse."   How does it affect a person and how does it affect their marriage, will be answered.  How can a husband or a wife help their spouse who has experienced the effects of sexual abuse?   What help and hope can we find in the Bible, and why is professional Christian counseling so important?  Only God can truly heal, through the power of the Holy Spirit, the ultimate Source of love, joy, peace, hope, and healing.
