Stephanie Hankey
Executive Director, Tactical Technology Collective

Stephanie Hankey is the co-founder and Executive Director of the Tactical Technology Collective, an organisation she co-founded with Marek Tuszynski in 2003 that works worldwide at the intersection of activism and technology.

Stephanie’s current work combines her design and technology background with her focus on privacy, personal data, ethics and design. She currently teaches, writes and consults on ‚the politics of data‘. She is also the co-founder of the creative agency Tactical Studios, the co-curator of the exhibition ‚Nervous Systems: Quantified Life and the Social Question‘ and the co-curator of the ‚Glass Room‘ held in New York in November and December 2016. She is currently an affiliate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard and in 2013 was awarded an Ashoka Fellowship for her work as a social entrepreneur.
