Each week for a little over 6 years beginning in June of 1947, ABC radio presented a unique series entitled "The President." Each episode featured a story of a different President of the United States (up until 1953) and a well-researched and documented event in his life that was re-enacted by MGM film star Edward Arnold and an excellent supporting cast. The key was that the President was not identified until the last line of the dialog. This gave the audience a chance to test their knowledge of American history and of major events that had taken place involving the Presidents starting with George Washington and ending with Dwight D. Eisenhower. This series will have its own playlist "The President" this is the first program in that playlist.
