Captain Midnight- Epi 21 and 22 - Dire Peril and Escape - Nov. 23 and 24, 1939

Starring Dave O'Brien as Captain Midnight... The series aired 5 days a week. Began in 1938 and ended in December of 1949. This was followed by a television series starring Richard Webb that began in Sept. of 1954 on CBS and continued with 39 episodes until January 1956. There were also comic books, comic strips, and several "serial type" motion pictures made during the 1940's and early 50's. This was a "super hero" prequel show. The topics of the stories changed dramatically when World War II broke out. The show was a favorite of the members of the Army Air Corps during the war and was broadcast over the Armed Forces Radio Service.
