IN THE SPOTLIGHT: Gregg Barbanell


Gregg is originally from San Francisco, CA, and graduated with a BFA in film from California Institute of the Arts.  He’s been a Foley artist for 43 years with 573 IMDb credits to his name.  Notable credits include:  In Film - El Camino: A Breaking Bad Movie, The Revenant, Suicide Squad, Little Miss Sunshine, Spirited Away, The Fast and The Furious, Dumb and Dumber, My Cousin Vinny, Point Break, and Wall Street.  And on television:  Breaking Bad, Better Call Saul, The Walking Dead, Chicago PD, Chicago Med, Law and Order: SVU.  And in Video Games & Cinematics:  Overwatch, World of Warcraft, StarCraft II, Call of Duty, Diablo III, Lost Planet, Gears of War, and Need for Speed.  Gregg has received 13 Emmy nominations and won in 2004 for the documentary Dinosaur Planet.  His work has also landed him 32 Motion Picture Sound Editors nominations and nine wins.  Gregg has worked for Disney Studios and Warner Brothers and is currently employed at NBC Universal.  


Gregg was featured in the 2018 documentary Actors of Sound available now on Amazon.
