Q’d Up with Jennifer Hsiung

Jennifer Hsiung joins Jimmer Lowe for an Episode of Q’d Up. Jennifer Hsiung used to be a TV anchor in China for CCTV. Now she is just a Desperate housewife by day – and an even more desperate comedian by night. Since moving back to Toronto (after having lived 12 years in Beijing), Hsiung has performed at almost every comedy club, bar, café/patio in the city! She recently did a live concert taping for RICE (Canada’s first all-Asian comedy showcase) at CBC’s iconic Glenn Gould Studio.  Hsiung is a regular performer at The Corner Comedy Club. She has been featured on Comedy Central Asia with Sugar Sammy and has hosted and opened for comedians such as Mike Ward, Kyle Kinane, Mike Vechionne, Tony Woods, Ahmed Ahmed and Nazeem Hussein. Two months after giving birth to her third son, she competed in the 2017 Hong Kong International Comedy Competition and was the only female to reach the finals. You can soon will soon catch her playing detective Jesse Hooper in the remake of “The Hardy Boys” on Hulu. You can also find her in season 2 of “Titans” on Netflix as Ravager’s mom Mei. If you are not easily offended, and like jokes about motherhood, marriage, depression, therapy, her children, astrology, Botox, China and racism, then you will love her!
