Title: "Speak Out" - Put Humanity First for Migrants and Asylum Seekers
Date and time: Monday, January 22nd at 1:00 pm
Location: Metro Baptist Church, located at 410 West 40th Street
Policy and Advocacy Associate, Juan Diaz, joins to share more information about this vigil as well as the current issues related to housing instability in NYC.
The vigil an opportunity to shine a light on the negative impacts of the 60-day rule for newcomer families seeking asylum, particularly for all NYC children as classrooms are disrupted and schools will be left with budget gaps.
Join us to call on the Administration to move forward with effective and cost-saving solutions to improve services for all New Yorkers, including expediting SNAP, cash assistance, housing applications, and more.
