High school senior Jaydyn McKinney has been wrestling for fifteen years. She is a 2x Ohio High School state champion which makes her the only athlete to win a back-to-back state championship for her high school. She’s currently ranked 16th in the country at 135 pounds and has won multiple national and state titles. Even though she’s the only girls on her high school team, she is one of the team captains.
In 2022, the Ohio High School Athletic Association officially sanctioned girls wrestling and the following year, in 2023 held the first State Championships for high school female wrestlers. Jaydyn won that event at 135 pounds.
She has been wrestling since age 5 with the Manchester Youth Wrestling Club, Manchester Middle School, and Manchester High School as well as the Ohio Girls National Team.
