In podcast #28 with dating and intimacy coach Jocelyn Silva my wife, Michelle, and I learned a lot and wanted to share this information with our 4 daughters. Realizing there were some topic points we wanted to save to an older age, we edited the podcast and made it applicable to our high school and middle school aged daughters. Michelle has told me several times that a big conversation, starting in middle school, or earlier, is the need for children to identify their sexuality. Either it is to fit in with a group, or to set them apart, or possible because of the behavior of the opposite sex at this age range, the push to be gay or trans is more openly discussed, and our kids are exposed to a world that we know little about. So, we wanted to have our daughters listen and learn where we are coming from but also to give them confidence in the safe space we are trying and wanting to create at home. Michelle and I hope you take the time to listen to this edited podcast and hopefully are able to share it with your children or others you believe will help start or add to an ongoing conversation.
