For the 15th episode of the Healthcare IT Podcast, we’re talking about Access to Medical Records. While some are shocked by the realities associated with getting access to medical records, there’s a lot more nuance to gaining access to medical records in a way that is helpful to the patient, but also respects the privacy and security of that patient’s information as well.

In this chat, we dive into this challenging topic with a look at whether patient access to medical records is useful or not. Plus, we talk about whether access to records is a problem that actually can be solved and we also look at the standards associated with sharing medical records and where we’re at in that evolution along with a look at times when sharing medical records may not be a good idea.
