Alan Spiro is the President and Chief Medical Officer for Laguna Health. He leads strategy and development for a technology enabled, digital-first recovery company dedicated to shortening recovery times and reducing costly readmissions. Alan has more than 40 years of operational and clinical experience. He has served as the Senior Vice President of Strategy and Analytics for Blue Health Intelligence and as Chief Medical Officer for various organizations including Anthem, Medica, and Wellpoint. Alan earned his Doctorate degree in Medicine from Columbia University and his MBA from Northwestern University. He refers to himself as a consultant with a medical knowledge base and experience and believes healthcare is about much more than just biology.
