Croydon-raised, Brighton-based singer, songwriter Oz reflects on how growing up in her family’s pizzeria – favoured by actors, musicians, drag queens, go-go dancers and old-school London gangsters – gave her a unique perspective on the different walks of life, and how this went on to inspire her songwriting. Signed to a major label aged 15 but pushed in the wrong direction, Oz explains how she regained her identity on new EP, Jupiter, and why it encourages listeners to be the master of their own destiny.
