It's no secret that many children in America are addicted to screens, whether it be via television, tablets, phones, or computers. In many instances, it has taken the role of "babysitter" or used as a distraction method while in public. Not all screen time is harmful, however, more and more research is coming out about the negative side effects screen time has on the minds of our children. It is often a contributing factor to ADHD, poor sleep, behavior disorders, etc. In today's episode, I sit down with Rachel Swanepoel to discuss how to minimize screen time in the home and replace it with creative activities. We discuss teaching kids to play independently and share advice on how to do so.
