The COVID-19 pandemic has forced more families to consider ways to educate their children through online resources in the home.

The COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic has closed public school buildings across North Carolina. This has prompted families across the state to learn more about online education. Lauren Acome, head of school at the N.C. Virtual Academy, shares ideas for helping families adjust to learning in the home instead of a brick-and-mortar school. Chuck Wolfe, vice president of school development for K12, discusses that organization’s work with public school districts, charter schools, and parochial and private schools to offer free immediate solutions for the short-term coronavirus problem, along with other ideas for longer-term needs.
