Somehow, some way, your 2023 Iowa Hawkeyes just keep on winning - after another lackluster offensive performance, the Hawks nonetheless stood tall after a 53-yard, three-run shot into the basket in right centerfield by Drew Stevens, once again cementing the team's status as the B1G West leader, controlling its own destiny. The guys look back at what we saw on Saturday, which included an appearance from CDJ on offense, Kaleb Brown's first catch as a Hawkeye, and another epic goal line stand from the ever improving defense. It's not always pretty, but at 7-2, the team is tracking toward a consequential final three games, the first of which kicks off Saturday at 2:30 from beautiful Kinnick Stadium against the Scarlet Knights of Rutgers. While Rutgers is usually viewed as an "easy win," with this year's offensive struggles and a feisty team from Piscataway, the guys dive into what we can expect to see as Iowa goes for win #8 on the season. An initial review suggests that the early 28.5 O/U makes a lot of sense as both teams generally struggle on offense and boast very strong defenses. As always, bet the "under"!
