Have you been wondering that amidst all the upheaval, denominational splits, and church failures -- where the heck do we go next? And how do we do better?

Same.

That's why I was so glad that Eugene Kim joined me for a conversation about just that, and we discuss ...

the cycles in church history (and where we are right now)how young people are approaching spirituality differently than ever beforewhat we can learn from the failures of the attractional model of churchwhere change really comes from (and the big question to ask when you wanna make a move)

Eugene Kim is an ordained minister with over 25 years of experience in local church ministry. After serving his last church for 17 years, he discerned the need to step outside the familiar in order to reimagine how we do “church” from the ground up. So in 2020, he left his pastoral role and founded New Wine Collective — a church innovation think-tank and R&D lab.

Since then, Eugene has been learning, ideating, and convening conversations about the changing spiritual landscape and future of the Church. He speaks, writes, and consults but is still a pastor at heart who loves walking alongside people in their journeys. He is passionate about systemic change and designing new ways of being the Church that can give everyone a place to belong and help heal the world.

Eugene grew up in Queens, NY and Seoul, Korea, and now lives in the Boston area. He enjoys hanging out with his three kids, eating, cooking, and watching Korean dramas with his wife.
