He was the 33rd President of the United States, and was one of our country's "accidental" presidents, taking office upon the death of Franklin D. Roosevelt after being Vice President for only 82 days. He was quick witted and hot tempered, but had a strong work ethic and came from a humble background which earned him much admiration and respect.
