It’s 2019 and this is the first podcast of the year! And I mean that literally! I started recording this podcast at 12:01am on January 1st 2019. I posted online that if any of my friends wanted to call in and be the guest for the episode to raise their hand and my old buddy KRIS ERICKSON volunteered. Kris is exactly the kind of guy you’d expect me to be friends with: a sarcastic villain who loves wrestling, comic books and comedy. In other words, he’s great!
On this episode, I recap a bit of my 2018 and look forward to 2019 including my comic book work, Smash Wrestling and the reboot of the 101 Things list. Then Kris and I discuss the weird time travel of time zones vs midnight, the upcoming plethora of indy shows that will hit New York/New Jersey over Wrestlemania weekend, his recent wrestling-filled trip to Japan, a bit about the Chicagoland indy wrestling scene, our totally uninformed opinions about Blackcraft Wrestling, the Union Heavyweight title and much more. Plus we namedrop comedian Bert Kreischer, actor Doug Bradley, wrestlers Gregory Iron, Rickey Shane Page, “The Big Daddy of Destruction” J-Rocc and Michael Elgin, and musicians George Clinton and Bootsy Collins and whoever else we could think of!
