7 Years Since Richmond Hill Explosion

This weekend marks seven years since the south side Indianapolis explosion. Mark Leonard was found guilty on all 53 counts, including murder and felony murder charges. He was sentenced to life in prison plus 75 years without parole. He died in 2018 at the age of 48 due to natural causes. Bob Leonard was convicted on all 51 counts, including murder and conspiracy to commit arson, He was sentenced to two life sentences without parole, as well as 70 years from other charges. Monserrate Shirley pled guilty to conspiracy to commit arson. She was sentenced to 50 years in prison, the maximum possible under her plea agreement, on December 20, 2016. She is serving her sentence at Indiana Women's Prison in Indianapolis; her earliest possible release date is December 19, 2037...when she will be 72 years.
