It's Alive (2009)

As with most series, the 'It's Alive' trilogy inevitably got a reboot somewhere in the Oughts. Is this movie a quick and cheap attempt to cash in on a recognizable name, or does it have something interesting to offer despite being a remake from a remake-happy era?
