Both maternal history and paternal early-onset symptoms were associated with elevated amyloid. However, late-onset paternal history did not show this correlation. A new study involving 781 American parents of children aged one to six reveals that one in four parents find it challenging to get their child to sleep, with over a third of children waking up upset during the night. More than 40% of parents report their child ends up in their bed at night, and about three in ten children under seven insist on having a parent in their room. The study, conducted by the University of Michigan Health C.S. Mott Children’s Hospital, emphasizes the importance of consistent bedtime routines to mitigate sleep difficulties, such as anxiety delaying bedtime or night awakenings due to bad dreams.
