Al Giwa is a former attorney who entered medicine to become a bioethics professor; in the process he has started and led several successful ventures spanning the healthcare and legal consulting world to entertainment companies and healthcare startups.  
He studied philosophy as an undergrad at Clark University, Law at the University of Ilorin, and attended Columbia University for his MD. He obtained his MBA from GWU and an MBE from Clarkson University/Icahn School of Medicine. During his journey, ethics and the desire to learn and teach others have instilled in him a leadership style that is truly transformational in nature. Dr. Giwa is currently on deployment in CENTCOM as part of Operation Freedom's Sentinel with the US Army. He is an Associate Professor of Medicine and Bioethics.
