Jeffrey J. Kaney, Sr. is Founder and CEO of the Kaney Group, LLC. The Kaney Group is a collection of inter-related companies, which include commercial Real Estate (Kaney Aviation Properties, LLC), Aerospace Engineering (Kaney Aerospace, Inc.), Precision Manufacturing (Ardekin Precision, LLC. and Kaney Aerospace Repair Station, LLC.) Aerospace and Medical Products (BVR Technologies) and Capital Funding (Kaney Capital, LLC.). The Kaney Group has holdings in 8 states and offices in Rockford IL and Dayton OH.

Prior to forming the Kaney Group, Mr. Kaney’s background included being a combat military veteran; he served as a USAF pilot for 10 years including combat in Desert Storm, attaining the rank of Captain. He also served as a pilot for a major international airline. Mr. Kaney has a BS degree in Business with an Aviation Management minor. He has continued his Executive MBA studies at Harvard Business School and the London School of Business.

Mr. Kaney is very supportive of his community and to that end serves on several boards such as Vice Chairman of the Swedish American Hospital Board of Trustees and the Swedish American Health System Board of Directions. Also, Mr. Kaney serves on the State of Illinois Department of Economic Commence and as a judge for the US Selective Service, as named by the President of the United States. Formally he served on the board of the Spectrum Progressive School, as a committee member for the Community Foundation of Northern Illinois, as a board member for Children’s Home and Aid of Illinois and as an executive board member of the Rockford Area Economic Development Council. As part of that capacity, Mr. Kaney also served as the founding Chairman of the Rockford Area Aerospace Network (RAAN) and founding Chairman of the Joint Institute of Engineering and Technology (JiET). Mr. Kaney is an active member of the Young President Organization and was the 2013/14 Chicagoland Chapter Chairmen as well as serving in numerous international leadership and champion roles. Currently, he is the Vice Learning officer for the Chicago Metro Gold, YPO chapter.

In August of 2012, Mr. Kaney was named Person of the Week by the WTVO television news and is an inductee into the Rockford Chamber of Commerce’s 2013 class of “20 People You Should Know”.

Outside of work, Mr. Kaney enjoys performing in air shows as a jet warbird pilot, business/motivational speaking and mentoring. He is also has been a contributor to the CNBC television network, both live on camera and blog.
