As an African American woman and a financial advisor, Diane Manuel has a unique perspective on the financial industry. She had several fears to overcome not only in her former workplaces, but in knowing how to serve her clients. Because of her journey and experiences, Diane became inspired to build a movement to help empower women.
Diane works at Urban Wealth management, a SEC registered independent RAA, operated by a woman of color and with a staff of women of color.
On Diane’s journey to empower women, she has authored multiple articles published in Investopedia, MarketWatch, and Financial Planning Magazine focused on finance, women and philanthropy.
In our conversation, Diane and I discuss:
●    Her perspective as an African American woman in the industry.
●    Building a movement to help women become efficient and effective with their money.
●    Overcoming the fear of asking for the sale.
●    Facing the fear of judgement.
