Edwin Anderson has spent over 30 years as a firefighter, a cop, and a paramedic. He grew up around murder, gang violence and sex crimes. Even though he's been perpetually surrounded by tragedy, Edwin continues to escape with his head held high. In fact, there are few people I know with a more positive attitude than him.
Edwin has been my best friend for over 25 years. We've seen each other grow through a lot of chapters. I'm proud to be by his side. His major growth spurts have come from escaping the ghetto and, at nearly 50 years old, finally finding love.
No one could have guessed how much his life would be changed from there. In our conversation, Edwin shares how he's managed his very personal and uphill road through chaos. After you listen, it will be no surprise why he and Sara have served as an inspiration to everyone around them.
