Open Invite follows the journey of professional golfer, Maya Reddy. After a successful junior golf career, Maya made the difficult decision to walk away from the sport at the professional level, having faced discrimination and abuse over her Queer and Desi identities. Now, Maya is returning to the sport on her own terms, renegotiating her relationship with golf, and advocating for inclusivity in sport. Episode 2 re-hashes Maya's collegiate experience: her success in being named a three-time All American, and the challenges she faced via an abusive coach.
