Ernest Thompson Seton's book, "Monarch, the Big Bear of Tallac." Another grizzly story I think you'll enjoy. Published in 1919, it tells the story of a Grizzly who ended up in a cage in Golden Gate Park, and the people who knew him. It's not quite as much a "Biography" as my previous Seton choice, but I really do like this book even so. And I felt like I had to return to Seton for this one, especially with NaPodPoMo.
Some of the humor would not be approved of these days, I suppose. But given that, the funny parts are still funny.
Dedication, Forward, and Part 1 -- "The Two Springs." We meet two very young grizzlies, their Mother ... and a hunter.
Theme: Pachelbel's "Canon in D" performed by Owen Poteat, with additional music provided by Kevin MacLeod.
