Whitehead also recounts stories of growing up and finding her love for the game in Northwest Iowa. A three-time Iowa Women's Amateur champion (1979, 1981, 1982) and 2008 Iowa Golf Hall of Fame inductee, Whitehead's determination and competitive spirit were second to none during her days on the course.
