Duke Phillips IV was born in Santa Fe New Mexico but has lived in Colorado for 23 years. Duke is a fourth generation cattle rancher and grew up immersed in ranching. He attended Fountain Valley School for grades 9-12 and graduated in 2010 with a degree in English from the University of Denver. He has traveled and worked all over the US and world, most recently a 13 month trip to Australia working on large scale cattle stations.
