"How Biodynamic Preparations Work" with Hugh Lovel and Brook LeVan

Hugh Lovel is a farmer and an international consultant to dairy farms, graziers, broadacre grain growers, and fruit and vegetable producers. As a multidisciplinary scientist, Hugh has introduced comprehensive soil testing using both the Albrecht approach and a total acid digest test that more clearly reveals what is actually present in soils. Above all he has been a leading pioneer of the new science of Quantum Agriculture. Hugh Lovel is the author of A Biodynamic Farm, for Growing Wholesome Food and Quantum Agriculture: Biodynamics and Beyond. He is the original designer of the Field Broadcaster quantum technology and the Quantum Radionic Analyser. His articles appear in Acres USA and related organic farming periodicals such as Acres Australia and biodynamic journals around the world.

Brook Levan, Co-Founder and Executive Director of Sustainable Settings, received a MFA, NYSCC from Alfred University, BFA, Kansas City Art Institute. He is a certified Permaculture designer and consultant and an alumnus of the Institute for Social Ecology (1978). He has consulted, practiced and taught sustainable design, green building, renewable energy, sustainable agriculture, wetland creation and art and design. Mr. Levan is a Fulbright Scholar and has extensive research and travel in Africa, Asia and North and Central America. He has held faculty positions at Pomona College, University of Connecticut and James Madison University. He has published, lectured and exhibited internationally. Mr. Levan is a National Advisory Board Member of Solar Energy International and The Wright Way Foundation, and a founding Board Member of the Thompson Divide Coalition.
