Is Chivalry Dead?

Have you ever opened the door for someone and felt stupid because the person didn't even say thanks?  Or have you ever felt like you're going to get in trouble for saying hello to someone?  We're living different times.  Change is good.   Women are being treated as equals, or at least we're moving in the right direction.  But with great power comes great responsibility, right?
So why does it seem like the world isn't getting better?
