I live in Asia and the emphasis on getting good grades is a big thing in this part of the world. Since young, we are told to focus on studying hard in school and getting that paper qualification in university. But, what you have learned are mostly hard skills.  

Smart, brilliant and talented people with poor soft skills get fired every day.  

Soft skills matter.
