In this episode, we speak with Karen Lee, CEO of Pioneer Human Services, an organization in Washington state, helping the formerly incarcerated get support with housing, employment, treatment, and training. Karen talks about some of the issues with the US legal system that is causing unjust consequences to Black and Brown communities. She also gives job-seeking advice to folks who have had an interaction with the US criminal justice system. And Karen shares what she believes we need to do as a society, to help give people a second chance.
