John Elmore | Won't He Do It?

John Elmore  is the Senior Director of Pastoral Care and re:generation at Watermark Community Church's Dallas campus. Through re:gen, he journeys with people trying to move forward from the pain of their past into new life and peace through Jesus Christ! As a recovering alcoholic now fifteen years sober, John knows firsthand the wreckage that comes with living a life disconnected from God and isolated from His people. But much more than that, he now knows Jesus’ promise of a new, full, abundant, cruciform life. It is better than we ever dreamed life could be and now it's his life purpose to "point people to the Healer, Redeemer, Creator and Deliverer.” He says, “I’m just one beggar telling another where to get the Bread." (John 6:35).

Earlier in 2021, John released the book,  Freedom Starts Today: Overcoming Struggles and Addictions One Day at a Time (Baker). He says, “I decided to write the book I needed when I was zero days sober.” But this is not a book you read, it’s a book you do; it’s a ten-minute-a-day for 90 days path to healing and freedom from struggles or addiction by the power of the Holy Spirit alongside another believer.

John is happily married to his wife and best friend, Laura. Together they have three kids (boy, girl, boy) and have been blown away by how God is using their little ones to teach us about the depth of love the Father has for us and how to daily die to self. (Galatians 2.20)
