J.D Walt | Seedbed

J. D. Walt is the 'chief sower' and visionary for Seedbed. Demonstrating the Seedbed mantra of Sola Sancta Caritas (only holy love), he gives leadership to Seedbed’s vision, development, design, and tribe. Previously, J.D served as Dean of Chapel and Vice President for Community Life at Asbury Theological Seminary in Wilmore, Kentucky. He has also worked alongside Chris Tomlin in giving leadership to a local congregation within The Woodlands United Methodist Church called “The Harvest” in Houston, Texas.

A published author and worship songwriter, J.D. has been a mentor to a number of worship leaders around the world both well known and unknown. His pastoral and teaching influence has also reached numerous people for the Gospel through the Passion movement and Worship Central. As well, J.D. is a licensed attorney and an ordained elder in the Texas Annual Conference of The United Methodist Church. When he is not writing, teaching, or leading his team at Seedbed, you can most likely find J.D. enjoying time spent with his wife Tiffani and their four children, David, Mary Kathryn, Lily and Samuel.
