In this passage we are looking at what our response should be when we are wronged. Christ again raises the bar for righteousness. It again surpasses that of the Scribes and Pharisees.
Christ’s teaching is again radical! First, he gives illustrations in four areas when we are wronged for our faith. In each he calls on believes to go the “extra mile” … to be more generous than the law required.
