Rich Mullins in his song "My Deliverer" talks about Joseph and Mary fleeing to Egypt and reflecting on God's promises. He draws parallels between Jesus and Moses and how God's promises will never be broken. Man cannot thwart God's promises. This truth should bring us to our knees knowing that we should never doubt God but that we can fully trust him. "He will never break his promise, he has written it upon the sky."
