Deepening Dependence - Audio

Philippians 4:10-23 draws the book to a close. In this last passage, we see that when we depend on Christ, our faith is able to thrive. As we depend on Christ, we can face life’s wins and let downs with a deep-seated contentment. Likewise, we are free from clinging to money as if our life depends on it, trusting that our life depends on Another. Only as we depend on Christ can we begin to live out the overarching charge of this book: put Christ first. Before comfort, before honor, before pleasure, before personal interests, before achievements and rank, before money, before everything -- Christ comes first.
