Hey folks! Today's podcast episode had to do with the Statue of Liberty. I wanted to talk about this in light of recent discussions on the poem used in front of the statue, and the idea that we are supposed to take care of people in need. 
Of course we are supposed to take care of people in need, but I think the government taking money from those who have it and giving it to those that don't is very different. At the time the Statue was placed, we did not have a welfare system in the United States, so it literally can't mean that.
