Little Bear Sanctuary provides a permanent home for farm animals that have been abandoned or can no longer be cared for by the owner in order to allow them to live out the remainder of their lives in a cruelty free environment. We are committed not only to a vegan lifestyle but the much needed education of pigs as pets. Our animals are never kept in cages or pens and are free to roam in their natural habitat.

Special Guest: Karla Dumas

Karla Dumas is a registered dietitian nutritionist and Director of Food & Nutrition with The Humane Society of the United States. The Food & Nutrition team with the HSUS has partnered with over 600 institutional dining operations and some of the largest food service companies to cultivate a more sustainable food system by increasing plant-based menu options. The Food & Nutrition team has hosted over 500 plant-based culinary trainings, reaching over 11,000 food service professionals.

Karla also co-founded Yesahcan Sanctuary, a farm animal sanctuary, in 2018. Yesahcan Sanctuary is home to over 75 permanent residents in Arcadia, Florida.
