"Wow! After we met I learned many things from you.  I chant Ram Ram daily. You changed my life, you taught me how to hold [Love] in the worst of times no matter what. I can't believe what's going on! Miracle! That's why today I share my story with you. Really you are great."
- S.S. in India

I didn't change his life.  His spiritual practice did.  It changed mine, too.  I share my experience with japa, HERE

In August 2020, after he wrote to me about his emotional and financial struggles, I responded-

"Stop worrying.  Go chant.  And don't stop chanting.   When you're scared and worrying, chant more.  When you notice you forgot to chant, pick It back up.   You'll keep forgetting and that's okay.  But don't fall into worrying,  just stop and chant."

I also told him to "keep noticing that Love is present, even when S.S. is shaking and crying, It's (t)here.  You don't have to create It.  You are It.  Keep doing Japa (aloud or silently) and it'll help you remember that your problems are false and only Love is real.  It'll help you stay focused on the Love, even when the trembling is present.  Feel the warmth, feel the glow.  Turn to It. It's holding you. Maharajji, your Satguru, is holding you."

He did just that and he continues to do so, as he leads his now successful business and runs for public office! He's peaceful and joyful and has a new baby girl... and is aware that this new, happy dream (the one that replaced the nightmare), is happening within the sound of the chant.  It's all happening in the Name. In the Word.  And so the chant goes on, on repeat!

Today's Quotes:

(on ceaseless praying) “Then I felt a slight pain in the heart and such love toward Jesus Christ that I wished I could throw myself at His feet, lovingly embrace them, and thank Him for this great consolation which He gives in His mercy and love to His unworthy and sinful creatures through His name. Then I experienced a kind of blessed warmth in the heart which spread throughout my whole breast.”

"When a saint like Sri Ramakrishna tells us that “every repetition of the Divine Name must have an effect,” we have to take his word for it, but our faith is based on an understanding of the greatness of the being who said it. We recognize that he has found what we’re looking for and is simply telling us where to look and how to get there. This gives us enough faith or confidence to sit down and do the practice."
-Krishna Das, Chants of a Lifetime

"There is a charm, a magic power, in Thy name.  It catches hold of people and turns them into Gods. "
