We’re back with episode 34! We are joined by BBC Radio 5live presenter Nihal Arthanayake for a truly honest, funny & insightful conversation around his incredible career.


We discuss his DJ & radio career and the transition into both, working with incredible artists & interviewing some great guests.


Born and raised in Essex, Nihal’s early passion for music led him into a career as a rap recording artist & he collaborated with some major DJ’s and performers in the British hip hop scene.


Nihal started his radio career in 2002 where he joined BBC Radio 1 to co-host Asian beats show with Bobby Friction, following on from this Nihal moved to the weekend breakfast radio show  in 2007 & started covering some major names in radio.


Nihal became the host of the daily phone in show on Asian Network - where he truly found his stride as a talk show presenter, taking on some hugely topical conversations!


Nihal has won awards such as, ‘Best radio show’ & ‘Best speech programme’ & now has his own slot as a BBC Radio 5live presenter.
