We are joined by the marvellous Manjit Gill, Founder of Binti which is a great initiative making a real change to young girls across the globe. Binti has a mission to provide menstrual dignity to all girls, all over the world. This means facilitating access to pads to ensure menstrual hygiene, educating girls about what menstruation is and what they can expect from it, and dispelling stigma, taboos, myths and negative perceptions around menstruation. We discuss Manjit's journey to Binti, her startup experience and all round achievements so far. Manjit's role as a mentor for a business woman in Kenya with the Cherie Blair Foundation led her to start this project. Her mission is to create a huge, social impact whilst generating a sustainable organisation. As a British Indian, providing basic hygiene for women in India has become her obsessive, compulsive dedication to making a change. Binti is an organisation to find out more about and you can of course get involved, they are always looking for volunteers.
