What do you do when you recognize and acknowledge a profound symptom of your suffering? Do you dive in and explore it, or do shove it back down into your inner being so you can deal with it when you’re ready? One of the symptoms of suffering popping up in my life through the past four months has been loneliness. This weekend, I had an experience that I wanted to share with others, but didn’t know who would be open to talking about it. So, I attempted to let it go. I tried to shove it down, but much like trying to keep a basketball underwater, it shot into the sky, eventually floating on the surface. Since then, I’ve been curious about the symptom of loneliness. What is it saying about the life I’ve been cultivating over the past 24 years?
