Associate Rector Ed Bartle encourages us in his Christmas Day homily to take stock of what this day is about. He suggests that during this season of frenzy looking for the perfect gift for family and friends we stop and recognize that God gave us the most perfect gift – the babe in the manger. We can give this perfect gift to others by imitating Christ in our thoughts and actions. Until we experience a true Christmas moment, things are chaotic. When we become believers, we take on the responsibility of spreading The Word using the gifts received from God. As believers we know that the only security we need is from our Father and through Jesus Christ - the perfect gift.
