In this homily delivered on the Fourth Sunday in Lent, The Rev. Ed Bartle, Associate Rector at St. George Episcopal Church, expounds on the means of deliverance that God has provided. When humans turn their thoughts to Jesus and believe in Him, they will find eternal life. If we refuse the cross that every Christian is called to bear, there is no glory. Fr. Ed concludes that if we have been forgiven, then we must be forgiving. He states we need to try to understand the nation and the world including causes that we may or may not agree with so that we can find solutions that encourage a peaceful existence with all people.
